Colorectal Cancer Screening with CT Colonoscopy

CT Colonoscopy is an examination that can be used to screen for colorectal cancer at an early stage, as well as detect polyps that may subsequently develop into cancer. The examination uses high-speed computed tomography to generate three-dimensional images that simulate the appearance of conventional colonoscopy.

This technique is rapid and accurate, does not require conventional endoscopic insertion, is generally less invasive, does not require a recovery period, and may also allow other abdominal conditions to be assessed during the same examination. It can therefore serve as an alternative imaging-based approach to conventional colonoscopy in appropriate cases.
